A message from Head Coach Royal Maxwell

As the Head Coach of the East Coweta Indians Basketball team, I am honored to have the opportunity to work with these young men as they work toward their goals, both on the court and in life. As we begin preparing for the 2016-17 season, the entire organization - players, parents, boosters, and coaches - are working very hard to help the Indians have their best season possible. We have a number of seniors who will provide the leadership we need, as well as some talented underclassmen who are eager to show their stuff at the varsity level.

I am extremely excited about this upcoming season. We have a great group of kids that I have truly enjoyed getting to know. We have worked hard to develop the team and the players over my first year with the program. Our players attended a team camp at the University of Georgia, and we had a very successful summer league season. We've had 10+ division 1 schools at our team workouts, and all of our seniors have taken the ACT exam in preparation for the college application process. We expect great things from our kids this year, both on and off the court, and we can't wait to get started!

I would like to thank you in advance for your support and assistance in making our players and teams successful.

How you can help the Indians Basketball team

Continuing to pursue the high standards that we have established for the East Coweta Basketball team requires commitment, hard work, and resources. We attempt to provide our players with the best experience possible, from summer workouts through the State Playoffs. The majority of our program’s funding continues to be generated from the players, their parents, and the support and generosity of East Coweta supporters from all over. The supporting cast is absolutely crucial to the success of this program. We hope that this fundraiser will help build the tradition of East Coweta Basketball and give our student-athletes the best possible experience while playing for the Indians.

As our players continue to work hard in the classroom and on the court this season, we respectfully request your financial assistance as we continue our efforts to provide our student-athletes championship level resources and equipment. The contributions we receive will help us to cover the costs of a variety of expenses such as transportation expenses, a team retreat, training equipment (weight vests and a basketball rack), gym upgrades (a new scoreboard, basketball chairs and a courtside runner), and locker room upgrades (renovations and locker room chairs). Most important of all, your generous donation will provide our players and coaches with the support needed to develop strong, disciplined young men of character, integrity, and pride.

Thank you in advance for your support!

A Message From Coach Maxwell

Are you ready for some basketball? I am! I am also very excited to be part of the 2016-17 East Coweta Indians Basketball team. Our team has worked really hard preparing for this season, and we are ready to play some ball!

One of our first challenges, off the court, is to raise enough money to maintain the activities of the basketball program. Our coach has challenged each of us to raise at least $300 -- but any donation as low as $10 would be great! If you would be willing to help me out with a donation I would really appreciate it.

Thanks again and I hope you can come to see me and our team play this winter!
