A message from Durango Women's Volleyball Head Coach, Amy Schlauder

As the Head Coach of the Durango Women's Volleyball program, I am honored to work with our student-athletes as they work toward their goals, both on the court and in the classroom. As we begin the 2015 season, our entire organization is working hard to ensure our program has the best season possible. We have a great mix of returners and newcomers to the Durango volleyball family, and we are excited to get better together. With a tough schedule ahead of us, our teams are hungry to compete.

This is my seventh year involved in the Durango volleyball program - four years as an athlete and three years as a coach. I am particularly excited about this upcoming season. We have a great group of ladies, who I have truly enjoyed getting to know during the offseason. We’ve been working hard at intramural and conditioning practices since March. In addition to their hard work on the court, they have been exceptional in the classroom and in the community. We will continue to host volleyball clinics for younger players and look forward to our program’s service project at Clean the World, Las Vegas. This season is going to be a season to remember. We can’t wait to get started!

I would like to thank you in advance for your support and assistance in making our players and teams successful. Come out and cheer on our teams this fall. Go Blazers!

How you can help

Continuing to establish higher standards each year requires commitment, hard work, and resources. We attempt to provide our players with the best experience possible, from intramural practices and in the offseason, to daily practices and tournaments through the Regional Playoffs. The majority of our program’s funding continues to be generated from the players, their parents, and the support and generosity of Durango volleyball supporters. The supporting cast is absolutely crucial to the success of our program. We hope that this fundraiser will help grow the tradition of Durango championship volleyball and give our student-athletes the best possible experience while playing for Durango.

As our players continue to work hard on improving their skills, we respectfully request your financial assistance as we continue our efforts to provide our student-athletes high quality resources and equipment. The contributions we receive will help us to cover the costs of player equipment, technical resources, travel and uniforms. Most important of all, your generous donation will provide our players and coaches with the support needed to develop strong, disciplined, and successful student-athletes.

Thank you in advance for your support!

A Message From Lynette Martinez

Are you ready for some volleyball? I am! I am also very excited to be part of the 2015 Durango Volleyball program. Our team is working hard preparing for this season, and we can’t wait to get started at our first match on September 1st.

One of our first challenges, off the court, is to raise enough money to maintain the activities of the volleyball program. Our coach has challenged each of us to raise at least $200 -- but more would be even better! If you would be willing to help me with a donation I would really appreciate it.

Also, if you have a chance, check out our team webpage:

Here you can check schedules, see results of our games and get other information about the team.

Thanks again and I hope to see you at our matches this fall. Go Blazers!
