A message from Director Brant Stai
As the Director of the Sherwood High School Band Program, I am really excited about the performing excellence our students are already exhibiting this year! We take great pride in our music, percussion, and colorguard programs. Our band program constantly strives to produce great musicians through continuous improvement every rehearsal. We also focus on being great people both in and outside of the classroom.
The bands at Sherwood High School are embedded into the culture of our school and community. Our student musicians are always performing whether it be marching band, jazz band, percussion ensemble, or concert ensembles. You will see us in performance in the school and community at festivals, competitions, football games, basketball games, track events, parades, and much more.
We in the Sherwood High School Band are enthusiastic about what the 2014-2015 performing year has to offer. We are competing in the AA class of the NWAPA Marching, Percussion, and Colorguard circuit. Our marching production is rich in musical content from composers Bach, Mozart, Tschenokov, and Shostakovich. We are also moving into the OSAA 6A level, which is the highest classification in the State of Oregon. Last year the Sherwood High School Wind Ensemble placed 2nd in the OSAA 5A state band contest, which was a huge milestone for our band program. The Sherwood Bands eagerly look forward to performing at festivals in our new Three Rivers 6A league with the other great bands in our region.
The future looks bright for our band program in Sherwood. We are growing in numbers, performing great works of art and are offering more types of performances every year for our student musicians. We thank you in advance for your support!
A message from Sherwood Band Boosters
As a Band Booster Board it is our goal to raise money for the Sherwood School Bands so that they can accommodate and educate all students who wish to pursue learning and performing with an instrument. It is a positive reflection on the fabulous director and educators that our bands in Sherwood continue to grow year after year. Band is a great place to be! With the growing numbers, there are many things that need to be expanded and purchased to help make a successful band program.
The Boosters Goal is to raise at least $50,000/year to supplement and keep the bands playing. We do this so that our band directors can focus on what they do best, educating and enriching our students lives. Here is a short list of ways we support the bands with the money that we fundraise: new instruments; clinicians and tutors to assist at the middle schools; saving money towards the purchase of new marching band uniforms; assisting with scholarships for marching band/color guard/winter percussion for students who are not able to afford the fees; transportation costs; purchasing music; student leadership camps; band trips; paying winter percussion and Jazz II directors; the list goes on. The Sherwood Band Boosters is a non-profit organization and your contribution is tax deductible.
I love serving in the band because I am surrounded by top notch instructors and students that set examples for others in the schools. I am constantly humbled and amazed at the generosity of our band families and community. We thank you for your assistance in keeping Sherwood School Bands thriving.

A Message From Jaime Jackson
Thank you for checking out my personal fundraising page! I thought that I would send it to the special people in my life, so I hope you don’t mind that I included you. We have been challenged to raise $100 each but my personal goal is much more. If you would be willing to help with a donation I would really appreciate it.
Hopefully you will be able to come and enjoy one of our performances this year! Thanks so much for supporting me!
