MAKING IT HAPPEN!
Monacan Football is gearing up for another year of Chiefs Football!! The players and coaches have laid the foundation for what we expect will be continued success for years to come. As an indicator of our players skill, the following players are going to continue playing football at the next level, George Parker (Chowan University), Malik Ashsford (Walsh University), JP Redmond (Randolph-Macon College), Graham Latham (University of Richmond), & Peter Coiley (TBD). We expect that these players and others will help lead the Chiefs to a strong season.
As Head Coach of the Monacan Football team, I am extremely excited about this upcoming season. We take great pride in our program and our goal is to continue to uphold the standard of excellence created by previous Chief teams. As coaches, we ask a lot from our players and hold them to high standards in the classroom, weight room, football field, and in the community. This standard of excellence has created some extraordinary results. We expect this to continue in 2014. Come on out and watch the Chiefs this fall. We'll put on a show for you!
How you can help the Monacan Chiefs Football team
Continuing to pursue the high standards set by previous Monacan High Football teams requires commitment, hard work, and resources. We attempt to provide our players with the best experience possible, from camps and 7 on 7's in the summer, through the State Playoffs. The majority of our program’s funding continues to be generated from the players, their parents, and the support and generosity of Monacan Chief football supporters from all over. The supporting cast is absolutely crucial to the success of this program. We hope that this fundraiser will help sustain the tradition of Monacan Football and give our student-athletes the best possible experience while playing for the Chiefs.
As our players continue to work hard in the classroom and weight room in the offseason, we respectfully request your financial assistance as we continue our efforts to provide our student-athletes championship level resources and equipment. The contributions we receive will go towards reducing the cost of players practice packs (which include compression shirts, shorts, girdles, practice jersey's, ect.), purchasing Hudl (our video editing software, which allows for the highlight films of our players to be sent to recruiters much easier), and help offset the cost of players camps. My goal is to give these players the best four years of their lives while they play for Monacan.

A Message From Mark Lawrence
Are you ready for some football? I am! I am also very excited to be part of the 2014 Monacan High Football team. Our team is working really hard this offseason, and we are ready for a long playoff run next fall!
One of our first challenges, off the field, is to raise enough money to maintain the activities of the football program. Our coach has challenged each of us to raise at least $300 -- but more would be even better! If you would be willing to help me out with a donation I would really appreciate it.
