A message from Head Coach Torrance J Archie
As the Head Coach of the Cross-Over Hoops Archie 10th Grade travel Basketball Team, I am extremely excited about this upcoming season. We take great pride in our program and our goal is to continue to uphold the standard of excellence we expect on and off the court. As coaches, we ask a lot from our players and hold them to high standards in the classroom, on the basketball court, and in the community. Our program is looking forward to the 2014 travel season and all of the challenges that will come along with it. Over the last 3 years, the Cross-Over Hoops program has become a brand that is associated with honesty & love. We have extended our olive branch to many kids and families with a motivation to help our young people reach their goals. I must say I’m so proud of this group of ladies and their dreams and aspirations of playing basketball on the collegiate level. As a coach I have totally bought into this dream of each and every player. With that in mind I do understand that I can’t do it all by myself and need the support and help of others. I love what I do and would not trade it in for the world. I have identified some need for this team in order to help them reach their goals and I need your help.
I would like to personally invite all of our supporters to join us this season in support of our student athletes.
How you can help the 10th grade Cross Over Hoops team
Continuing to pursue the high standards set by Cross-Over Hoops as a program requires commitment, hard work, and resources. We attempt to provide our players with the best experience possible, providing them with training, equipment, uniforms, travel and anything they need to be successful. Unfortunately, being a non-profit program we do not have a steady stream of funds therefore the team is not completely funded leaving us to rely on fundraising as a big part of what we do. We also have those that are in need, I would never turn a kid away for lack of funds or financial issues. The majority of our program’s funding continues to be generated from the players, their parents, and the support and generosity of Cross-Over Hoops supporters from all over. The supporting cast is absolutely crucial to the success of this program. We hope that this fundraiser will help sustain the commitment to dreams and give our student-athletes the best possible experience while playing for Cross-Over Hoops.
As our players continue to work hard in the classroom and on the court in preparation for the season, we respectfully request your financial assistance as we continue our efforts to provide a championship experience. The contributions we receive will help cover the cost of player gear, travel costs, registration fees, tournament fees and incidentals for the season. This season we are headed MD, NC, GA, TN and OH! Most important of all, your generous donation will provide our players and coaches with the support needed to develop strong, disciplined young women of character, integrity, and pride.

A Message From Taya Bolden
Are you ready for some basketball? I am! I am also very excited to be part of the 2014 Cross-Over Hoops Archie Basketball team. Our team has worked really hard preparing for this season, and we are ready for a long travel season!
One of our first challenges, off the court, is to raise enough money to maintain the activities of the basketball program. Our coach has challenged each of us to raise at least $180 -- but more would be even better! If you would be willing to help me out with a donation I would really appreciate it.
