A message from Head Coach Justin Van Fleet
WE ARE THE LANCERS!
As the Head Coach of the Loyalsock Lancers Football team, I am honored to have the opportunity to work with these young men as they work toward their goals, both on the field and in life. Seeing these young men grow over their years in high school keeps all of us coaches young and excited to come to work each day.
I am extremely excited about this upcoming varsity and junior varsity season. We take great pride in our program and our goal is to continue to uphold the high standard set by our past teams, both on and off the field. As coaches, we ask a lot from our players and hold them to high standards in the classroom, on the football field, and in the community. Our program is looking forward to the 2013 season and all of the challenges that will come along with it. With the experience of our playoff run of 2012 behind us, and a strong returning cast of "veterans" we have great expectations for 2013.
I am also extremely excited about the tremendous strides taken by our Junior High football program under the leadership of Head Junior High Coach Joe Mileto. Riding on the wave of last year's success, our Junior High program has dramatically improved both on and off the field. On the field we expect to continue to shine. Off the field we have grown to add a Freshman Football team for the second time in Loyalsock history while recording some of the highest signups in Middle School history.
I would like to personally invite all of our Lancer supporters to join us this season in support of our fine student athletes. Thank you in advance for your support and assistance in making our players and teams successful.
How you can help the Loyalsock Lancers Football team
The accomplishments we have made as players, coaches, and an organization take hard work, effort and resources. Unfortunately, high school athletics are not completely funded by our school and county. The large amount of our program's funding continues to be generated from the players, their parents, and the support and generosity in the community through our Huddle Club.
As our athletes are working hard this off-season in the weight room and classroom preparing for the season, we respectfully request your financial assistance as we continue our efforts to provide a championship caliber program and facilities for our young men. Additionally, the contributions we receive will allow us purchase new player and coaches uniforms, upgrade team gear and training equipment, and cover the costs of camps and clinics this summer. Most important of all, your generous donation will provide our players and coaches with the support needed to develop strong, disciplined young men of character, integrity, and pride.
Thanks for your support,
Justin Van Fleet
