A message from Band Director Casey Eubanks
2013 is shaping up to be a tremendous year for the 140 students in the Sequoyah High School instrumental music program . As the director of the band and orchestra, my mission is to make our program the best in the state of Georgia. The marching band has won several class championships as well as a overall grand championship. Our concert bands and orchestra have also earned the highest ratings possible at GMEA Large Group Performance Evaluation.
As a program, we constantly strive to live up to the high expectations of our past, and to set new performance standards for our current students. Our performances have been seen on National Television and our program is proud to have had 10 students in the past four years receive scholarships to colleges to further their music education. On behalf of all of the students, parents and staff associated with the Sequoyah High School Band Program, I thank you for your support of our amazing students!
How you can help the Band of Chiefs
The accomplishments that we have made over the last few years as a successful organization take hard work, effort, and resources. Unfortunately, the majority of our trips, performances, and competitions are not funded by our school or county. This means all money must be raised by the parents and students of our program, either directly or indirectly through their friends, family, and business associates.
Experiences in high school will provide memories that last a lifetime! To continue to provide the best musical experience for our students, we need to upgrade our instruments in 2013. Over time the wear and tear on these instruments takes a toll, and replacement becomes a necessity. Upgrading our instruments will provide our students with experiences that very few students ever get to experience. I am dedicated to giving our students the best possible experience during these high school years. Finally, I would like to thank you, in advance, for your continued support of our students.

A Message From Chahmar Foster
GO CHIEFS!
I can't tell you how excited I am about getting new instruments this next school year! It will make our performances so much better! Each of the Band members got together and created a fundraising page to send out to our friends and family. I thought that I would send it to the special people in my life, so I hope you don’t mind that I included you.
Our goal is to raise enough money with this fundraiser to help reduce the loan we will need to take to pay for the instruments. Our Band Director, Mr. Eubanks has challenged each of us to raise $350 but my personal goal is to raise $500. If you would be willing to help me out with a donation I would really appreciate it. Thanks for supporting me and hopefully you’ll be able to come out and see us perform this year - I promise you won't be disappointed!
